Siaya Senator James Orengo has now issued a rare warning warning to NASA leader Raila Odinga over the planned swearing in ceremony.

Orengo, who is also one of Odinga’s legal strategists, stated that Odinga journey to State House would be filled with challenges – mainly from the government.

The Senior Counsel stated that Odinga could not afford on go back on his promise to take the oath of Office as President of the Republic of Kenya.

"Like the story in the bible, do not look back lest you turn into a stone," the fiery lawyer advised.

He dismissed remarks by Attorney General Githu Muigai, who warned that anyone involved in a parallel swearing in ceremony would be charged with treason.

Orengo spoke at the Sun n Sand Hotel in Kikambala, Kilifi County where the Coast People’s Assembly met Odinga.

The former Prime Minister spoke shortly after Orengo’s speech and promised that he would not hesitate to take the Bible despite the postponement.

The Opposition had earlier announced that its leader would be sworn in on December 12 but later cancelled the ceremony, postponing it indefinitely.
