ODM Leader Raila Odinga’s daughter, Rosemary, has moved to court where she has sued her personal assistant, John Oduor, for allegedly stealing from her.

Oduor is said to have made unauthorised withdrawals totalling Shh245,000 from Rosemary’s account at NIC bank.

The withdrawals were made between November 15 and February 5, 2019.

The suspect was on Monday charged alongside his wife, Christine Anyango, before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.

The matter will be heard on March 7

Christine is charged as a co-conspirator. The couple was released on a Sh100,000 cash bail each with an alternative to place a bond of Sh200,000 each.

Last November, Odinga’s eldest daughter made her first public interview after 21 months of illness. It was then that she went public about her loss of sight while undergoing treatment for a mild stroke.

I am struggling to adapt to the new changes, having lost my sight during my illness. I have had support from everybody around me for which I am very grateful. I will continue to do what my heart most desires to empower women in our country,” Rosemary said of her condition.
