Gang escapes with millions after digging tunnel into bank

A gang of unknown robbers escaped with millions after they dug a tunnel into FSA bank in Kitui.

According to reports, the robbery took place on Saturday night with the robbers parting with Sh1.5 million.

The unknown men broke into the Financial Services Association (FSA) bank located in Itoleka through the tunnel and made away with the amount of money

This comes a few weeks after robbers stole Sh7 million from two Barclays Bank ATMs in Nairobi.

Reports said that one of the ATMs was located in Buruburu and the other located in South B.

Other reports said that another ATM located at the Kenyatta National Hospital was also robbed Sh4.3 million bringing the total amount to Sh11 million.

The three ATMs were all reported to have malfunctioned.
