Ruto family all smiles as Maraga admits son to the roll of advocates

Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday joined his family in celebrating his son Nick’s admission to the High Court of Kenyatta.

Nick was one of the 223 advocates that were admitted to the bar at a ceremony held by Chief Justice David Maraga at the Supreme Court of Kenya grounds.

The Rutos later held a luncheon at the DP’s official residence in Karen where they celebrated the achievement.

The younger Ruto successfully completed the Kenya School of Law programme and passed the bar exam.

Incidentally, Nick was gazetted as an advocate on the same day that his father, the deputy president, graduated with a PhD at the University of Nairobi.

The younger Ruto appears to have political ambitions and often accompanied his father’s political allies for rallies and was actively involved in the 2017 campaigns.
