Yesterday, social media was on fire after news broke out that Deputy President William Ruto had a child outside his marriage.

Through Gitobu Imanyara and Co, advocates, the lawsuit claims that William “has failed, refused and/or neglected to provide the minor with adequate ad/or basic necessities such as good health, food, school fees, decent clothing, shelter and medication."
The purpose of the said lawsuit was not to scandalise but prevent little Abby from undergoing “irreparable loss to healthy growth and educational development.”
In response to this lawsuit that has now gone viral, Ruto admitted that he fathered Abby but said that he has provided for little Abby and even got Prisca a job that pays 90,000 Kshs per month. He went on to add that, politicians and busy bodies should stop interfering with his personal life.

In a series of tweets, Ruto wrote:
“The other father/s should be men enough and look after their kids. Trying blackmail for me to cater for other men's children won't work.
For the record I did find Abby's mother a 90k-a-month job,40k monthly upkeep ever since. She went ahead to get her own 3 other kids though.
My 11 year old child Abby is well catered for including her education in private boarding school. Politicians& Busybodies should keep off.”
