St Stephen’s missing girl found, re-unites with family

Finally

St Stephens Girls, Machakos(Mediamax Network Limited)

The St. Stephens girl who had gone missing prompting the KTN journalists to visit the school seeking answers has resurfaced and re-united with her family in Kawangware.

Interview with KTN

The girl who has been missing for weeks could not tell what happened and where she has been. In a live interview with KTN News on Wednesday, she said that she cannot remember what transpired and all she recalls is that she bought water at Makutano Junction.

Girl meets good samaritan

It’s only after meeting a good Samaritan who gave her 50 shillings that she was able to travel from Nairobi to her home where she reunited with her family after a month of searching.

Attack on KTN journalists

The student had gone missing after being sent home for fees arrears. This prompted the KTN journalist to visit the school in Machakos to enquire about the girl’s whereabouts. But as it turned, they were welcomed by irate students who attacked them and torched their vehicle.

The school has since been shut down and the principal charged with incitement of violence. He denied the charges and was released on a Ksh 1 million bond.
