University student shot while jumping over State House fence

State House, Nairobi

Police officers have shot and injured a university student who jumped over State House fence.

According to reports, the student was trying to breach State House perimeter with a knife before police officers shot him.

Brian Kibet Bera is a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering student

He got access to State House by climbing over Gate Bravo when security officers spotted him and shot him on his left shoulder.

Police arrested and booked Kibet at Kileleshwa Police Station. 

The 25-year-old is currently at Kenyatta National Hospital receiving treatment.
