Daniel Wachira, who is the Homa Bay DCI boss, stated that the bombs were presumed to have been dropped at Lake Victoria by colonial soldiers.
The DCI boss further stated that bomb experts had been notified to assess the devices.
According to the fishermen who discovered the explosives, they noted that they were inside a old, rusty, wooden box.
152 bombs found in Nanyuki
In February this year, 152 colonial-era bombs were found at a hardware shop in Nanyuki, Laikipia County.
Laikipia County Commander Simon Kipkeu highlighted that the bombs had been used for training purposes and the owner had them at the shop since 2010.
The shop owner remarked that the bombshells had been handled as scrap metal and were yet to be purchased.
