UK prophet in hot soup over message about Uhuru-Ruto

We don't need your prayers! Some Kenyans shouted.

“I’m not a Kenyan (well not yet!) but if I could vote I know who I’d choose: two God-fearing men who believe in the power of prayer and action. H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta and H.E William Ruto - you are the men who the Lord has appointed in this season! Kenya; we love you and are praying for you! Let God arise today over the nation... #UhuRuto2017 #GetYourPrayerOn” He wrote.

And just like Christina Shusho his prayers and well wishes received a hostile response for what Kenyans perceived as partisan prayers.

“When you take sides in prayer yu show us your corrupt prayers... We don't need your partisan prayers.” Florence Akeyo complained with Pst Oriewo adding “You're not praying for Kenya you’re praying for Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto not people of Kenya according to your post its shame that Christians we have taken positions in politics.”

Yves Yvonne wrote, “But why do people misuse Gods name...these people are not Men of God...these are hypocrites using Gods name to gain political mileage.” And Calsioto Oduor felt that Steve was getting money for his prayers. “You want them to pay u after praying for them.” He wrote.

Responding to the backlash Steve wrote  “I have watched the comments overnight. Many abusive, some thanking me. Let me say this to you, believers are called to intercede for the nations. We are also called to pray for the leaders of the nations. No matter what your political view, align yourself with heaven and pray for your nation, asking the Father to give you the insight of who to vote for. By doing so, Almighty God will give you clarity.”
