Vincent Musila the man who was stuck at an island for three days narrated how he survived.
Speaking to journalists moments after he was rescued, Musila said he had a difficult time at the isolated land and battled with animals.
According to Musila, he had gone to the river to set his traps for fish when the river banks burst and locked him in the middle.
Musila said he couldn't escape from the raging waters after his canoe was swept away by the heavy floods.
Since it was nightfall Musila sought refuge at the Island which is within the river as rescue efforts were futile.
