Former Machakos Gubernatorial Aspirant Wavinya Ndeti is one of the NASA politicians who have landed lucrative government appointments as President Uhuru Kenyatta announced changes in key Parastatals.
In a Gazette Notice, Ms. Wavinya was appointed Chairperson of the Governing Council of Kenya Water Institute, where she will serve for a period of three years.
“IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 5 (1) (a) of the Kenya Water Institute Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Water and Sanitation appoints— WAVINYA NDETI to be Chairperson of the Governing Council of Kenya Water Institute,” read part of the notice.
In another appointment, former Kajiado Governor David Ole Nkedienye was appointed Chairperson of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority.
Former Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu was appointed Chairperson of the Waster Services Regulatory Board. ODM‘s Olga Karani was also appointed Chairperson of the Council of the Kenya Cultural Centre.
Other politicians who landed government appointments include; Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu will be Chairperson of the Water Resources Authority, Kalembe Ndile will serve as a member of the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency, William Oduol will be a member of the Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency as former Bonchari MP Zebedeo John Opore will be a member of the Board of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
They will all serve for a period of three years.
