New details have emerged on the death of slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) director of ICT Chris Msando.
An investigative piece aired on KTN revealed that the personal assistant to a senior official at the commission was assigned to track down Msando's movement and report the same.
On the fateful night that the ICT expert met his death, the said official called the assistant to establish where he was a few hours before his death.
The investigative piece questioned why the said official had not been summoned by the police for questioning.
The piece dubbed "Logged Out Forever" also revealed that hours before his death, Msando met a relative of a high ranking government official.
The man identified as Dan Kinyua is the boss at an ICT firm with presence across 5 countries.
When contacted by KTN, Dan declined to be interviewed for the investigative piece. Furthermore, he has never been called in for interrogation by the police.
The piece faulted the police for altering facts on Msando's last moments.
According to the police, CCTV footage captured his car along Thika road with four occupants, one of whom is alleged to be the ICT expert.
KTN has however revealed that by the time Msando's car made its way back to town before joining Thika road, the car only had one occupant whose physique is a complete contrast to Msando.
Although it was night, the occupant of the car had pulled down the sun shield of the car to conceal his identity from cameras along the highway.
The media house questioned why the police had left glaring loopholes in their investigations if they were serious in establishing who killed Msando.
Investigations are still underway.
