Terrorists kill 7 in convoy attack in Maiduguri

The Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, however, said only one person was killed in the Boko Haram attack.

It was gathered that seven persons were killed in the attack which occurred along the Maiduguri-Biu highway - the area was recently secured by the military.

The Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor, however, denied the casualty figure.

He told Channels Television on Sunday that only one person was killed in the attack while others were injured.

The Saturday incident came three days after the troops killed many of terrorists while they attempted to a military base in Borno State.
