Mother laments death of 16-yr-old son during school inter-house sports
A woman is demanding that the death of her son be probed after he died from a head injury sustained during his school inter-house sports.
The deceased, Michael Paul Ogbe was an SSS 3 student of ASACS International Staff College, Bwari, Abuja, before his death, Punch reports.
The mother of the deceased, Marian Nnanna Ogbe, is reportedly requesting for a probe of the accident that led to her son's death.
According to the reports, the deceased had lost his father at the tender age of four and was raised alone by his mother.
Punch reports that Micheal was the best science student in his school and would have survived his injury but had not been rushed to the hospital on time.
Mrs. Ogbe expressed regret for allowing her son to go to school on that fateful morning.
“We had to force him to go on Tuesday.
“Michael was a computer wiz-kid. He wanted to work as a computer security expert in government or a telecommunications company," she said.
Punch reports that the bereaved mom presented a form from a Canada-based school where her son was to resume in September 2017.
She said, “I miss him so much, I can’t give birth again, I don’t even have a husband, I don’t know where to start from. Life has no meaning anymore; I worked so hard for Michael."
may the soul of the departed rest in peace.
