Speaking at a funeral in Serem, Vihiga County, the ANC party leader alleged that Chiloba was conspiring with the French firm, OT-Morpho, to inflate the cost of the upcoming presidential election.
Mr. Mudavadi purported that the electoral body CEO had already signed a Sh2.4 billion contract with the French firm.
“Yesterday, Chiloba signed a fresh deal with OT Morpho for the supply of technology for the fresh poll. We are ready for elections but him together with the other officials must to leave IEBC,” the ANC party leader said.
He condemned Chiloba’s move noting that IEBC could not contract the French firm without first resolving critical issues raised by NASA.
Mudavadi mentioned that after the Supreme Court ruling the Opposition was not comfortable with OT-Morpho supplying the technology for the fresh presidential election, accusing the firm of being behind the bungled August 8 General Election.
The NASA leader demanded IEBC and OT-Morpho to explain how the figure was arrived at.
He further alleged that Chiloba was hatching a plan with OT-Morpho to rig the upcoming poll using technology.
“Furthermore, we are aware the awarded sum is way above the Sh800 million that the IEBC technical committee recommended.
"Kenyans should be excused if they were to conclude that the offensive amounts are being paid as a bribe to OT-Morpho for a shady job of using technology to tilt elections in favour of Jubilee in the same way it did last month." he said in a press statement.
Mudavadi’s sentiments were echoed by NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga who was also at the funeral.
The former Prime Minister stated that the corruption scandal was a ploy by the Jubilee Government.
Mr. Odinga also wondered how the election budget was now at Sh2.4 billion yet the initial proposal was at Sh800 million.
"Experts have indicated that we only need Sh800 million to have a repeat of the exercise. President Uhuru Kenyatta and a few IEBC officials are going to be the beneficiaries of the extra amount," he said.
He reiterated that Chiloba must vacate office adding that elections will not take place unless it was a level playing field.
