"My party will not be fielding a presidential candidate in 2017 and the residents from this region want Mr Kenyatta to go back to State House. I have no problem with that," she said.
She said that the president should complete his two terms and that the president will receive her full backing in the fight against corruption.
Her announcement came as a surprise to many as Karua had joined up with the opposition Cord in castigating the Jubilee government on matters corruption, electoral reforms among other issues.
Karua said her party Narc-Kenya would sponsor candidates for gubernatorial, senatorial, MP, women rep, and ward seats across the country.
Karua is seeking to become the first ever woman governor in a race that will see her square it off with former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru in what is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited titanic battles in 2017.
