Court Bars Jubilee from Advertising its Achievement

Another court ruling against President Uhuru

The High court blocked the Presidential Delivery Unit from placing adverts on Jubilee achievements in print, electronic or banners.

The case was filed by Katiba Institute which held that the Government cannot use public resources to advertise its achievements during the election period.

According to the Institute, it was against section 14 of the Elections Act to place the ads in a bid to woo voters.

President Kenyatta’s has heavily used different media platforms to publicize its achievement as one of its campaign strategies.

This comes days after NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga won in the case challenging Mr Kenyatta win in the August 8 General Election.

The case filed at the Supreme court saw the presidential results annulled.
