Chebukati’s message after the murder of IEBC manager

Chebukati spoke moments after viewing the body of the murdered ICT manager.

Speaking at the city mortuary after viewing the body of slain ICT manager, Chebukati said that there was no doubt Musando was tortured and murdered.

“In our mind as the commission, the only issue is who killed him and why. That is the question that must be answered,” a stern-faced Chebukati told the press.

“We are only a few days to the elections. It is the duty of the government to provide security for all Kenyans. I demand from the government that they provide security for all employees of the IEBC for us to give Kenyans free and fair elections,” Chebukati said.

The IEBC boss said that they will work with the police to ensure that Musando’s killers are found and brought to book.

Chebukati announced the planned of the IEBC simulation of the voting exercise at the Bomas of Kenya that was scheduled for Monday will be postponed and a new date will be announced later.
