Kenyan Marathon runners Eliud Kipchoge and Brigid Kosgei have won the London Marathon.
Eliud Kipchoge, Brigid Kosgei win London Marathon as Kenyan athletes reign supreme
Eliud Kipchoge won the London Marathon setting a new course record of 2 hours 2 minutes and 37 seconds in the men's race, while Brigid Kosgei set a new Personal Best of 2 hours 18 minutes and 18 seconds in the women race.
Kosgei treated the audience to a powerful display of long distance running as she led a team of four elite Kenyan athletes in dominating the first five positions.
In the Marathon held on Sunday, Vivian Cheruiyot came second while Mary Keitany and Gladys Cherono finished Fourth and Fifth consecutively.
Ethiopian Roza Dereje came in third position.
Kenyan athletes reigned supreme at the London Marathon, displaying talent, resilience and emerging victorious once again in women's race.
