Kilonzo was shot during a robbery in an M-pesa shop on Monday July, 24 in Kasarani. He had gone to withdraw some money when he was shot close to the heart.

He died while receiving treatment at St Francis Community Hospital.

Kilonzo helped the Bankers win the Kenyan cup and the Enterprise Cup titles last season.
