Ian Duncan, Laukkanen to renew their rivalry in the KCB Eldoret rally

Other top drivers expected to enter the Eldoret rally include Baldev Chager, Emmanuel Kato

The Eldoret Rally has been one of Kenya's most prestigious National rally sport event over the years as it has seen many of the biggest names in the region go head to head in the beautiful rift valley terrain.

This year’s edition won't be any different as the back to back champion Tapio Laukkanen is set to defend his title against other legendary rally giants in the likes of Azar Anwar, Ian Duncan, Carl Tundo, Lee Rose just to name a few.

Laukkanen or better known as the "Flying Finn" made history as the first foreign (Finnish) driver to win the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) series last year and was also named the driver of the year 2016.

Other top drivers expected to enter the Eldoret rally include Baldev Chager, Emmanuel Kato, Riyaz Kurji, Farhaaz Khan and Jassi Chatthe.

During last year’s rally Laukkanen emerged the overall winner of the rally and he will be looking forward to defend his title.
