Kogalo 15-times KPL Champions Gor Mahia reveal latest plans on their brand new stadium

Chairman Ambrose Rachier said that hey have received a sponsorship deal form a lottery company called Goma Lotto and therefore their dream of owning a football stadium will be maturing soon.

The 15-times league champions Gor Mahia Fc are in a race to build their own football stadium after identifying a 10 hectare piece of land that will be used to house the stadium.

According to the club Chairman Ambrose Rachier they have received a sponsorship deal form a lottery company called Goma Lotto and therefore their dream of owning a football stadium will be maturing soon.

Rachier added that there has been some challenges in terms of slow marketing and publicity thus delaying the whole affair of constructing the stadium.

The 10 hectare piece of land was awarded to Gor Mahia by the retired President Daniel Arap Moi near Kasarani Stadium.

Gor Mahia chairman also revealed that they have instituted a committee to work specifically on the stadium development.

“We have instituted a committee to work specifically on stadium development. We intend to develop a stadium and football academy there. With the land available, it a huge step on its own and I believe we are on the right track toward achieving our dream.” Said Ambrose Rachier.

Despite Gor Mahia having Goma Lotto on board they are still out sourcing for more sponsors in order to boost their account towards the stadium project.

Setbacks

It can be remember that Crown Beverages pulled out of Gor Mahia sponsorship deal barely after one year. Crown Beverage terminated sponsorship deal with the club, but it still holds a possible renewal of association.

Currently Gor Mahia has betting and lottery firm, Goma Lotto as the only sponsors aside from their main sponsors in the league.

The 10 hectare piece of land was awarded to Gor Mahia by the retired President Daniel Arap Moi near Kasarani Stadium.

 Gor Mahia will soon be joining the likes of Uganda's Vipers SC one of the club in the CECAFA regions that owns a modern Stadium.

Gor Mahia and AFC leopards are some of the clubs that enjoys a huge following in the country.
