The 10 hectare piece of land was awarded to Gor Mahia by the retired President Daniel Arap Moi near Kasarani Stadium.

Gor Mahia chairman also revealed that they have instituted a committee to work specifically on the stadium development.

“We have instituted a committee to work specifically on stadium development. We intend to develop a stadium and football academy there. With the land available, it a huge step on its own and I believe we are on the right track toward achieving our dream.” Said Ambrose Rachier.

Despite Gor Mahia having Goma Lotto on board they are still out sourcing for more sponsors in order to boost their account towards the stadium project.

Setbacks

It can be remember that Crown Beverages pulled out of Gor Mahia sponsorship deal barely after one year. Crown Beverage terminated sponsorship deal with the club, but it still holds a possible renewal of association.
