KPL players in search of greener pastures
Mwakwatta who failed to Move to Europe due to disagreement between his club and the Europe side has now found a new home with the newly promoted side Buidcon FC.
The strikers move came after his International transfer Certificate was issued to the Zambian side to easy his switch for greener pastures.
Makwatta who hold the title of the top scorer in the 2016 season will be joining his country mate Clifton Miheso at the club. The star has signed two years deal with the club.
Early this month Makwata travelled to Europe to strike a deal with Slovakia side Fc Nitra, but the deal failed forcing him to shift his focus to Zambia.
Makwatta might be up to task come May 1 as his side Buidcon will be up in arms against Power Dynamos and coach Jadrane Hichan might use him to strike.
Buidcon FC are yet to score after being held to goal less draws in their three games into the new season against Lusaka Dynamos, Kabwe Warriors and Real Nakonde.
In the last game against Dynamos, the team created six chances - four on target but failed to convert those chances to goals and it is hoped that Makwata will show the side how it’s done.
On the other hand Sofapaka defender Isaac Mutanga has completed his move to Bukavu Dawa FC in DRC Congo.
The transfer of the Ugandan was rubber stamped on Wednesday April 26 after Football Kenya Federation (FKF) issued his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) to their DR Congo counterparts.
Mutanga had joined Batoto Ba Mungu in June 2016 from Uganda’s Express.
