Malkia Strikers Women Volleyball takes centre stage in Kenya

Malkia Strikers will be up against African bigwigs in in search of World Championship slot.

Kenyan national women volleyball team is ready to host three countries in search of a slot in the 2018 World Women's Volleyball Championship.

The Malkia Strikers will play against Uganda, Rwanda and Egypt at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani's Indoor Arena starting Friday.

Head coach Japheth Munala has unveiled his strongest team for the task including debutants Libero Celestine Nyongesa, right attacker Emmaculate Chemutai and utility player Leonida Kasaya.

Celebrity setter Janet Wanja is also in the squad which will strive to get past the Africa Zone Five World Championship Qualifiers.
