No name FC wins 2022 edition of KOT 5 Aside tournament, headlined by Wakadinali

The 9th edition of KOT 5-Aside went down on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Ligi Ndogo grounds in Nairobi County and No Name FC carried the day

No Name FC beat Wakapaji FC in the final by one goal to lift the trophy and the tournament’s prize money that had been set at Sh100,00.

The football extravaganza (KOT 5-Aside) is a tournament that brings together Kenyans on Twitter for a game of football.

Twitter user Sir Alexas who is among the organizers of the KOT 5-Aside used his handle to congratulate No Name FC.

“No Name FC are the winners of the 9th Edition of #KOT5Aside after beating Wapakaji FC 1-0 in the final. Congratulations to them,” reads a tweet from Sir Alexas.

This year’s tournament was sponsored by one of Kenya’s leading betting firm Odibets. The event brought together 24 teams from Twitter, with No Name FC emerging winners.

A Twitter user 'Rare Truth’ who was part of the No Name FC, expressed his excitement after his team emerged winners at the football extravaganza.

“Thank you so much #KOT5Aside for this opportunity we were the underdogs but we managed to secure victory. It was one of the most special moments in my life #KOT5Aside,” he wrote.

No name Fc was representing the Kirigiti community.

Just the other day, the betting frim supported Kenya’s Amputee football team with Sh1.5 million to enable them participate in the 2022 Amputee Football World Cup qualifiers after their dream almost shattered due to financial constraints.

After the KOT 5-Aside Matches, football fans were treated to an entertaining evening by Wakadinali- a hip-hop group from Kenya.

The Wakanali trio is made up of Munga Domani, Scar Mkadinali and Man a Drilla.

On March 11, 2022 rapper Khaligraph Jones crowned Scar Mkadinali from the Wakadinali trio as the best lyricist in Kenya, as far as the hip-hop scene is concerned.

Jones said that Scar deserves the props because he is doing justice to the hip-hop game.

“I can confidently say he is the number lyricist in Kenya right now, Khaligraph Jones has said it! Right now I’m playing on a different league so Scar is the best," Jones affirmed.
