Speaking at Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) on Thursday, Kenyatta noted that he was ready to accept any decision by the court whether in his favor or not.
He urged Odinga to do the same and ensure the country moves forward peacefully.
Kenyatta’s sentiments come after NASA filed their petition at the Supreme Court on Friday led by Odinga.
During an interview on NTV, NASA strategist David Ndii warned that they would go to the streets if they didn’t get justice in courts.
"We as NASA clearly know that the problem we are dealing with is the political impunity and we know courts cannot solve this. We are fighting the election not just to win power but on grounds of implementing electoral reforms.
If change cannot come through the ballot, it will come through the bullet,” Ndii warned.
Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister launched a national campaign during the swearing-in of Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Tuesday.
Mr. Odinga stated that the Opposition would use the drive dubbed, Truth and Electoral Justice Campaign to defend political rights of individuals throughout the country.
“Today here in Mombasa we launch a National Campaign for Truth and Electoral Justice in Kenya. In this campaign, we will affirm our commitment to freedom, the rule of law and justice. We will defend our political right and democratic space," he said.
