Award winning lifestyle blogger Sharon Mundia popularly known as This is Ess gave birth to her baby girl Nailah in early June and just four months down the line she’s managed to snap back pretty good post baby.

This is Ess revealed that she was fearful of gaining too much weight during her pregnancy.

“I’m going to be very honest, adding on loads of weight during my pregnancy was one of the fears I had, even before I was pregnant.”

The new mom, through her Youtube channel, shared three tips on how she lost over 12 kilograms in such a short amount of time.

“The main thing that helped me lose my baby weight is breastfeeding. You burn loads of calories while breastfeeding,” she said.


She further revealed that watching the types of food that she ate greatly contributed to her weight loss; opting for more natural and organic foods when it comes to her post baby diet.

“I don’t deny myself foods. If I feel like having a salted caramel cake then I’ll have that. I just allow myself to have healthier options before hand,”


“I swapped sodas and juices for water. I drink about 1.5 to 2 litres of water per day.”

One clear favorite addition to her diet has got to be green tea which greatly helps in losing weight by boosting one’s metabolic rate.

4.Swapped unhealthy foods with more healthy foods

“I researched to find out what types of foods could be swapped with the unhealthy ones that I used to have,” she said.
