Madowo responded to a tweet where Kenyatta had sent out condolence messages to the family and friends of a 24 year-old Jubilee supporter who died while attending the president’s campaign rally.
“Saddened by the death of 1 and injuries that occurred at Nyeri campaign rally. My sincere condolences and a quick recovery of those injured,” Kenyatta twitted.
The NTV reporter joined numerous other netizens who were concerned that the head of state had not issued even a single condolence message to the families of tens of Kenyans who have lost their lives in the hands of police during the NASA anti-IEBC protests.
Madowo responded, “Do ?”.
Amnesty International on Monday reported that at least 33 people have been killed by police in Nairobi alone.
The report was released on the same day that a Form 4 student at Vihiga High School was killed in Kisumu.
Last week on Friday, police shot four people in Bondo after they allegedly attempted to break into a police station.
