Former CS ordered to pay Sh4 Million

He challenged the election of Governor Kingi

Former Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi has been ordered to pay Sh4 Million by a Malindi High Court.

High Court Judge Weldon Korir gave the order after a petition the CS filed challenging the election of Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi flopped due to insufficient evidence to invalidate Kingi's election.

Petition

The Former CS who vied for the Kilifi Gubernatorial seat on a KADU Asili ticket moved to the High Court seeking orders to invalidate Kingi’s election on grounds that the August 8 election was marred by massive irregularities and illegalities, accusing the IEBC of manipulating the results to favour Governor Amason Kingi.
