Gatundu Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has threatened Opposition leader Raila Odinga that they will place him under house arrest if he stops them from voting on October 17.

Speaking during a rally at Mwiki in Kasarani, Kuria declared that the NASA flag bearer should not try to interfere with the Election date put in place by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

“Jubilee  rally at Mwiki, Kasarani today. . If Raila tries to stop us from voting on 17th October, we will place him under house arrest just the way we did to Jaramogi” said Moses Kuria

On September 18, 2017, the Daily Nation quoted its sources indicating that the commissioners had agreed to postpone the October 17 election to a date that will be announced on Wednesday when the commission is expected to hold a meeting with Odinga’s team and representatives of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

NASA has insisted that the set date would not be adequate for the commission to deliver credible elections.

The company in charge of the KIEMS kits that were used in the  August polls had also requested for more time to configure the Kits afresh before the repeat polls are held.
