Reports indicate that Odinga allies have begun questioning Jubilee’s commitment to the Harambee House deal after National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale ruled out any possibility of talks on electoral reforms and restructuring of the country’s executive which have been top on the opposition’s agenda.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition Chief Raila Odinga were expected to have an extensive tour of the Nyanza region after their historic peace agreement at Harambee House that followed months of political unrest across the country after the August 8 elections.
ODM Party chairman and Minority leader in Parliament John Mbadi confirmed the visit was on the cards but did not give any more details.
He said Raila and President Uhuru were waiting for the conclusion of the Kenya Peace Project, being put together by experts appointed by the two leaders after their meeting at Harambee House in Nairobi.
