Alikiba discloses why he has chosen to live humbly despite being a Star

Tanzanian Bongo big shot Alikiba has revealed he never shows off because his fans who’ve been with him since he started humble deserve to see him remain the same.

Despite being a star, the ‘Seduce me’ pop singer has maintained that he will continue to live a humble life.

In an interview with DJ Show on Radio One, Alikiba stated that there is the star life, the normal life and the one of which people act as though they are celebs.

Mimi sijachagua in nature nipo hivyo, Watanzania walinipokea katika hali ambayo kiukweli haisemeki sasa hii leo nije nibadilike, so nisingependa kumshawishi shabiki yangu kwa namna yoyote ile kuwa nimebadilika kwa sasa hivi,” he said.

The veteran singer further insisted that he is a big Star and he will continue to live his life in a way deemed fit to him.

“Kwa hiyo ule wivu wa kumfanya mtu anze kunichukia kwamba Ali amekuwa hivi na hivi, hapana! Mimi ni staa, mimi ni supa staa nitafanya, ninaishi maisha ambayo nimechagua lakini bado nitaendea kuwa-humble kwa watu.”

Alikiba headlined local dailies for weeks as he tied the knot with Amina Khalef. The star-studded event worth Sh 50M was an invite-only ceremony.

The ceremony was held at the Masjid Ummul Kulthium mosque according to the Muslim culture.

King Kiba was accompanied by his younger brother Abdu Kiba, who was his best man. He dressed in a stylish white and black gown, a turban and a dagger, a custom for Swahili weddings.

The legendary singer revealed he settled for 19 April for his wedding day because his parents tied the knot the same day years back.
