National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale surprised many on Tuesday after he endorsed ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency during the August 8 election.

Speaking in an address in parliament on Tuesday, Duale stated that among the NASA principals, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, the former premier was best placed to face president Uhuru Kenyatta in the upcoming polls.

The Garissa Township MP urged Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi to give the former prime minister a chance stating that he was more suited than the three.

“I humbly ask, don’t take us round, don’t call too many press conferences, we know who among the pack is ahead. I have worked with him, he has the numbers, he has the resources, he has the think tank, he has been tested, he has been the prime minister, give it to Raila Odinga,” the legislator stated.
