Former Singer Angela Ndambuki stripped of her CEO position

She was a key member of the Music Group Tatuu

Former member of phenomenal Kenya’s girl band Tatuu, Angela Ndambuki, has been stripped of her CEO position at Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) after eight months of appointment.

According to the KCCI Chairman Kiprono Kittony, the Board opted not to confirm Ms Ndambuki who was working on probation.

However, the board has appointed George Kiondo as Ms Ndambuki’s replacement on an acting capacity. Kiondo was the Acting CEO before Ndambuki was appointed in September 2017.

Ndambuki, who is an advocate of the high court was previously the CEO of the Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK).

The former singer was instrumental in developing and finalizing the National Music Policy which is a blueprint for guiding coordinating and regulating the music industry in Kenya.

In April, Ms Ndambuki was named among top 100 reputable African by Reputational Poll International.

Angela is Churchill Ndambuki’s baby sister and used to sing alongside Angela Mwandanda alias Shinde, and Debbie Asila, Shaffie Weru’s ex-wife.

She holds a Masters of Law Degree in Intellectual Property Law from University of Edinburg (England). She also has a bachelor of Law from the University of Nairobi.

She got married to one Roy Mutungi in 2011.
