Singer who composed Jubilee's hit song Rewarded

On several occasions she held the Presidents hands to lead him to stage to Dance.

A popular Rift Valley Singer who composed a song to praise Jubilee Party during the August General Election has been rewared.

The Lady identified as Fancy Chepkorir aka Marion has been sponsored to go back to class and pursue her secondary Education.

Marion’s dream was to pursue her Education to high levels but drooped out of school 10 years ago, due to lack of school fees.

She will now join Isinya Adult Education Centre to pursue secondary education after nominated MP Gideon Keter offered to pay her fees and personal expenses throughout her four-year journey.

The mother of four – two pairs of twins – who dropped out in form two due to lack of fees, could not hide her joy saying she had been given a second chance in life.

“I am so happy and cannot thank Hon. Keter enough. I will work so hard in school,” said Chepkorir

Unlike several musicians, who have recorded tens of albums without gaining fame, Chepkorir burst into the limelight with only her second single. It is this song that saw her brushing shoulders with the high and mighty.

On several occasions during electioneering period, she shared a podium and even held President hands to lead him to stage to Dance.
