Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee and Radio Citizen’s Mzazi Willy M. Tuva ruled the night at this year's AFRIMMA Awards held in Dallas.

Akothee bagged the Best East African Female Artist award at the prestigious AFRIMMA awards.

Radio Citizen’s Mzazi Willy M. Tuva beat stiff competition to emerge as Africa's best radio and tv presenter at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

The media personality, known for the hit show Mseto East Africa was crowned at the awards held in Dallas.

Omy Dimpoz floored a crowded field of East African artistes including Diamond, Ali Kiba, Nyanshinski, Kaligraph Jones, Ravvany among others to win East African artiste of the year.

The event was a star-studded affair that saw the best talent from across the continent recognized in the various categories.

Kenya was represented across the various categories by Sauti Sol, Nyashinski, Kaligraph Jones, Poison ivy and the man of the night- Mzazi Willy M. Tuva.

Toofan floored Sauti Sol which was nominated for the Best African group.

Tuva left the country earlier this week to grace the awards, stating that he will miss his Mseto East Africa show.

In a post seen by Pulselive.co.ke, Tuva who has left for the United States of America said he would miss the show as well as his fans and co-hosts Selly Kadot and DJ Flash.
