Kenyan born Australian Senator shamed for comments she made to Jeff Koinange

Bad manners

Kenyan born Australian Senator Lucy Gichuhi has landed in more trouble over comments she made during an interview with Jeff Koinange in January this year.

During the interview on JKL, Gichuhi told Jeff that her Sh16 million annual salary 'was not a lot of money'.

"Yes, my salary it is somewhere on the website, I don't look at it because it comes into the bank, but it's not a lot of money by the way,".

"Politicians, and I mean Australian politicians, work so hard 24/7, nobody, and I mean nobody can compensate them for the work they do," Gichuhi stated.

The Daily Mail and the Guardian have both reported on the comments which have received attention following the shameful scandal regarding her conduct as a senator.

She later defended the payment it was an administrative error involving misunderstanding of travel rules and promised to pay all the money back.
