"It was so much fun," he said during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in the United Kingdom. "Did you get the pregnant lady thing, where people want to touch your bump?" Asked Norton, to which Hemsworth replied: "I got a lot of cuddles," adding that he also got plenty of belly rubs, including a "fair share" from his co-star Robert Downey Jr.

"He definitely ate his way through his emotions," Hemsworth said of the character. He also joked that the fat suit was, in fact, a genuine physical transformation. "That was my full Raging Bull Oscar attempt," he quipped, before explaining that it was a prosthetic which he had to be zipped into each day. He recalled being treated differently on-set when he was wearing the prosthetic: "Every time I walked towards the catering truck they were like no no no!"

Of the many twists and reveals in Endgame, "Fat Thor" has been one of the most talked about, with some fans praising the inclusion of a superhero that doesn't have the typical ripped body, while others have criticized some of the movie's jokes as "fat-shaming." Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have defended the creative choice, saying: "We find fat Thor as inspiring as any version of Thor because hes so relatable. Its a very human version of the character."
