It looks like you wont be eating bacon any time soon. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD removes a massive cyst buried in a patients chest. Fans say the contents of the sizable growth looks like a ribbon of bacon, officially ruining your go-to breakfast food forever.
In the short clip, Dr. Pimple Popper makes a careful incision in the center of the patients chest cyst. With her fingers, she then squeezes the growth, causing a ribbon of cyst contents to wiggle out. Several fans took to the comments to declare the contents looks like a strip of bacon. Another fan added, That was a beauty, which is certainly one way of looking at it.
The growth featured in this video is an epidermoid cyst , which does not double as a bacon-making factory. This type of cyst is often filled with dead skin cells and keratin , and commonly occurs on the torso.
In the Instagram caption, Dr. Lee refers to the growth as a Kelly Clarkson cyst due to the location on the chest, a reference to the infamous chest-waxing scene in the The 40-Year-Old Virgin. According to a longer version of the video available on all-access, Dr. Lee has seen this same patient before for this exact chest cyst. During a prior removal, she patched up the stitched incision with a sticky medical film. But she didnt shave the patients chest hair first. The result was a removal that mimicked a chest waxing, according to the patient. Ouch.
This time, Dr. Lee attempts to remove the cysts sac wall in full, which will prevent the growth from returning again. Lets just hope she shaves around the incision before patching it up this time.
