Jessica Simpson has big news. The singer and designer announced she lost 100 pounds since giving birth to Birdie Mae in a new post on Instagram.

Jessica shared two photos of herself in a black dress cinched at the waist with a belt. In one image, she's holding her six-month-old baby girl Birdie Mae and both have big smiles.

Jessica revealed that she weighed 240 pounds at her peak. The mom of three explained in the caption: "6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240 ) My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder. "

Speaking of hard work, Jessica seriously stepped up her fitness with the goal of getting back in shape after her tough pregnancy with her third baby. (I mean, how can you forget the photo she posted of her preggers-induced super swollen feet or that bout with bronchitis ?!)

Jessica told People what she's been doing to get back in shape. "I am working really hard right now," she told the publication. "Its not easy at all, but I am determined to feel good. I have been doing a lot of walkinggetting my steps in not only burns calories but it also helps me clear my head and get focused."

Besides getting moving, Jessica's also making some adjustments to her diet. "I am eating healthy, tooI discovered I really like cauliflower," she explained. "Who knew it could be a substitute for almost anything?!"
