Joho's private meeting with Shebesh excites Kenyans

Joho hosted Shebesh in Mombasa

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Friday caused an online excitement after he shared details of his private meeting with Principal Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender affairs Racheal Shebesh.

Joho stated that the meeting focused on areas of potential collaboration between the Mombasa County government and Shebesh's ministry, particularly on youth empowerment and ease of services.

"We covered a wide range of issues of mutual interest between the County and National Government. I am prepared to engage the Ministry on Huduma Mashinani and support to the youth and women at the grassroots level," Joho stated.

The post, which was accompanied by photos of the meeting, caused excitement with many social media users taking note of the rare meeting between the two leaders who have  previously not seen eye-to eye on matters politics.

The meeting was also attended by Mombasa Senator Mohamed Faki.

Eve Opolo advised the governor "Don't fall in her trap we know them be very careful".

"Make a move and a smart one Sultan. With Shebesh around all can't be guaranteed well," Mwalimu Kimanthi stated.

"Building bridges is the way forward to eliminate poverty among our communities Inshallah, hongera Sultan. Tunakutarajia Inshallah Maralal (Samburu county ) Kule bara," Namartkong'u said.
