Education CS George Magoha has announced the closure of Precious Talents School in Ng'andu Ward following the collapse of classrooms on Monday morning.
In a statement to the press, CS Magoha ordered students to remain at home for the next four days as the government ensures safe arrangements for them to resume learning.
"We have asked learners to stay at home over the next four days as we put in place adequate measures to ensure their safety of learning," the CS ordered.

Prof. Magoha has also set up a special task force to carry out investigations into the incident that claimed the lives of seven pupils and left 64 with serious injuries.
"The school is duly registered and has an enrollment of 800 learners. We have set up a multi-agency team comprising of officials from county government, local leaders, ministries of education, interior & coordination of government and the ministry of health together with the Kenya Red Cross to manage this situation.
"The team will also conduct thorough investigations on the possible causes of this tragedy and submit the report to me for urgent action," Prof. Magoha stated.
Statement from KNH
Acting KNH CEO Dr E. Kamuri confirmed that 64 pupils had received treatment at the hospital and were confirmed to be in stable condition.
According to the doctors only two students were found to have sustained severe injuries and were placed under close management.
