There was confusion at the Kiambu Level Five Hospital after the mortuary department ordered the return of all male bodies released on Tuesday.

The order came an identification mix-up that saw several families carry the wrong bodies home.

The County Government of Kiambu has recently come under sharp criticism over the operations at Kiambu Level Five Hospitall.

The institution was faced with a crisis of overcrowding, forcing some patients to share beds while others were left to sleep on the floor.
