Kenyans strong reactions to NTV hosting DP Ruto this Sunday

A State House tweet announcing Deputy President William Ruto’s interview on Nation Media Group’s NTV on Sunday night has had elicited strong reactions from Kenyans.

This is the first time the DP will appear on NTV, in the recent past. The DP has, however, appeared on interviews on Royal Services’ Citizen TV.

But curious Kenyans on Twitter were perturbed with the new change, some urging the DP to adequately prepare for fireworks on corruption related issues which have rocked the second term of Jubilee administration.

“DP William Ruto will be on NTV on Sunday Night. Join him in discussing Government plans and the Jubilee vision to unite and transform Kenya,” reads the tweet from Presidential Strategic Communication Unit, PSCU.

Benjamin Wangila, who was blocked by the DP wondered why the DP was set to address issues national unity, yet he had blocked him.

“PSCU Digital, William Ruto, Kipchumba Murkomen Dennis Itumbi NTV Kenya and Uhuru Kenyatta, hii ndio vision of unity??” he posed in a tweet.

Shady Opiyo said: “Let him come well prepared because questions will be flying low very fast at him, and make him understand each quiz MUST be answered to the satisfaction, starting with his net worth.”
