Ng’iya Girls’ School in Siaya County has been closed indefinitely.

The closure on Tuesday morning follows protests by students for what still remains unclear.

This happened hours after a neighbouring county, Kisumu Girls' School closure after students staged protests on Sunday night.

Students were demonstrating against  'stringent' rules set by the new principal.
