President Uhuru Kenyatta’s address to the Nation, a day after a detailed Supreme Court ruling has been postponed.
An official at State House Nairobi has clarified that the cancellation was premised on the ongoing meeting with the cabinet secretaries, which he chairs, making it impossible for him to address the press.
Mr Kenyatta was expected to address the media on Thursday in the backdrop of the detailed Supreme Court ruling which annulled his win.

In the meantime, Mr Kenyatta is instead set to meet a delegation from North Eastern region. The President in the recent past has changed tact in his campaigns for the repeat polls.
Just last week Mr Kenyatta met thousands of leaders from Mt Kenya regions at Sagana State Lodge in Naivasha, a day after he met over 5,000 leaders from Nyamira and Kisii Counties.
Mr Kenyatta has been on record vowing to trim the powers of the Supreme Court for having annulled his reelection in the highly protracted August 8th polls.
Meanwhile, Deputy President William Ruto has said that the ruling by CJ Maraga led team was a war on the supreme will of the people, who queued to elect their leaders.
"Evidently a supreme coup on sovereign Will of the people was executed on basis of technicalities against their verdict captured in ballots," Ruto said via Twitter.
