The self-proclaimed "bad girl," who has 52.5 million followers on the photo-sharing social network, superimposed the Queen's face onto four snaps of herself in skimpy outfits. She did not explain the bizarre rampage.

While some of the star's fans saw the funny side, the singer has faced a backlash from others who deemed the act "disrespectful and stupid."

Rihanna captioned the first post, in which the Queen's head appears on a snap of her in a bright green outfit and thigh high boots, "be humble."

In the second post, the Queen's face is photoshopped onto an image of Rihanna wearing a fluffy red heart shaped dress. She wrote "y'all chickens is ash and I'm lotion."

The Queen of Pop captioned the third post "#gucci." It features an outfit she recently wore to Coachella, and added: "UPDATE: Mumz said she won't too happy bout this post so I had to edit *insert appropriate Gucci Mane lyrics here*."

In the final post, in which the Queen's face is superimposed onto an image of the singer in a Chanel suit, Riri's caption said: "It's not that deep."
