Conor McGregor still wants another shot at Khabib Nurmagomedov after his blockbuster defeat in October 2018.

Speaking with Tony Robbins , McGregor doubled down on his call for a rematch with Khabib, claiming that it was up to Khabib's camp to agree to the fight.

"At the end of the day, I landed the final blow of the night, right on his brother's eye socket," McGregor said on Robbins' podcast. "Although the match didn't go my way, the fight went my way. And trust me when I tell you, Tony, this war is not over. If this fight does not happen again, if it does not get reset, it's on them. They're running away. I'm here for the fight and here for the rematch."

McGregor's call for a rematch came with a mention of the post-fight brawl that took place the first time he met Khabib in the octagon, which resulted in suspensions being levied on both fighters.

Although McGregor lost the fight against Khabib, he attempted to claim a victory in the post-fight brawl, bragging about taking shots at his opponent's brothers.

"The final one was the original brother who was on top of the cage," McGregor said. "He broke free from the security, ran at 100 miles an hour towards me. He threw a right hand. As he threw the right hand, I threw a left hand. Boom. There's an image, an aerial image, of the right hand just whipping by my face and my left hand just landing flush down the pipe. The final blow of the night. So, that's it. I win."

McGregor had fired off a similar sentiment in the direct aftermath of the fight, tweeting out, "We lost the match but won the battle."

For now, a rematch with Khabib still feels pretty far away. Neither fighter has fought since their bout, with McGregor claiming retirement and Khabib suspended until November. Chances are that other contenders would want their shot at Khabib's title and feel entitled to the opportunity before McGregor got a rematch.

Still, there is not a bigger fight that UFC could book right now than the rematch between the two fighters, and if the money is right and both sides can come to an agreement, there's no doubt that the bout would come together.
