The only 7 presidents Uhuru follows on Twitter

Both Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta follow Nigerian billionaire and business mogul Aliko Dangote.

Mr Kenyatta seemingly is an avid entrepreneur, of course basing the judgement on the type of people he follows.

He probably looks up to people like Aliko Dangote a Nigerian Billionaire and Mr Donald Kaberuka, the seventh President, African Development Bank Group that is between 2005 and 2015.

With 2.56 million followers on Twitter, Kenyatta only follows 33 people, with only six (current) African presidents and one former president in West Africa.

Some of the key African figures, of course presidents, on the continent include.

Muhammadu Buhari

On the list of his darlings is the leader of oil rich Nigeria in the west of Africa, with a population of over 180 people. Mr Kenyatta could be looking up to West Africa’s economic powerhouse, probably to clone it to Kenya.

Paul Kagame

Rwanda’s haven of peace and its successful ban on plastic bags may have wooed Mr Kenyatta to hit the follow button on Twitter of Mr Kagame. Mr Kagame previously commanded the rebel force that ended the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. He was recently reelected.

Jacob Zuma

South Africa’s development record and international recognition, and probably the Nelson Mandela factor may have prompted Mr Kenyatta to follow extravagantZuma.Mr Zuma is currently grappling with hundreds of charges, many related to corruption.

John Pombe Magufuli

The no nonsense Magufuli ticks in the list of presidents Mr Kenyatta closely monitors. He once threw a jab at Mr Kenyatta over his reluctance to fight graft, few months after he took office in Tanzania. Mr Magufuli, who earns meagre Ksh 413,000 a month, recently struck out a media outlet (MwanaHalisi) for allegedly criticizing him.

You don’t just throw words at Mr Pombe, do you?

Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

The matoke land commander drops in as Mr Kenyatta’s ally, such that he is among the 33. After a struggle in parliament to have his term limit extended, or even age limit struck out of the constitution, Mr Museveni still remains a darling to Mr Kenyatta. He follows him on Twitter.

Alassane Dramane Ouattara

Mr Alassane Dramane Ouattara is an Ivorian politician who has been President of Ivory Coast since 2010. Mr Kenyatta follows him back, a rare show for his millions of followers.

John Dramani Mahama

Having served as the president of Ghana five years, Mr Mahama could be having some nuggets of wisdom worth a retweet from Mr Kenyatta, or even being liked in equal measure. Mr Mahama served as President of Ghana from 24 July 2012 to 7 January 2017.
